I am always looking for the words to adequately express the deep, deep mommy love that I have for you. I have yet to find words that are big enough, great enough, descriptive enough, beautiful enough...

My prayer is that each and every day I will shower you with tokens of my love. I pray that I will continually find new ways to express just how much I adore you.

Our Madelyn

There is one question that people ask everywhere we go... "Is she ALWAYS that happy?" They aren't asking it about me...ha ha...but rather about our sweet Madelyn. I can honestly say that YES, she is always happy (well almost always...ha ha) She wakes up with the sweetest smile and she wears it as her greatest accessory all day until she goes to bed...

And her "funny face" well that is enough to make everyone smile!

I took the kids to Target today and while we were paying for a cart full of unnecessary purchases the "payer lady", as Collin calls her, just keeps going on and on and on and on about "how much the kids look alike". Collin kept asking "what does she keep talking about mommy" as I tried to explain to him that the "lady thinks you and Madelyn look like each other". He looked at me like I was out of my mind, because of course he does not see the resemblance...do you???

People always comment on how much our kids look alike. When I look at them I see two sweet souls that are so different in so many ways. They are each fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and He has made them each so unique.

But the one thing that is EXACTLY the same about these two, is the way that they melt my mommy heart when they smile...and they most certainly have caused my love cup to overflow!

A Year Ago Today...

These pictures were taken April 24, 2009 exactly one year ago today...

Just when I think that I couldn't possibly love these sweet babes any more than I already do...

Tomorrow comes...and I find a million new reasons to fall in love with them all over again!!

A fly on the wall...

Do you ever wonder what people would think if they walked by and heard a sentence or two of what was being said at that very moment in your house? HA! Here are few that you may just hear if you are walking past mine...

"Collin, seriously how would YOU feel if I put yogurt in YOUR new shoes!"

"um yes when you grow up you will have hair on your legs too."

"yes, you and your sister are still too little to drink 'diENT' pop."

"Ok you are not making "sugar" anymore. Melted ice cream and huge bowls of water do not make sugar...now look at the floor!"

"quit telling Madelyn to drink the bath water."

"Yes I know you pooped on the potty but you are still not big enough to drive mommy's car."

"...because mommy is too big to fit into your Spongebob underwear but thank you anyway."

"I am not being mean to you, you need to start following directions."

"That's it...BED TIME!!" :)

Dinner Date

Tonight we had dinner at Grammy and Papa's house with Uncle Dude and Aunt Andi. We just ADORE them...

We could hardly wait for the love birds to arrive!

"Mamma"razzi Monday

"Mamma"razzi Mondays will be devoted to pictures. To say we take a lot of pictures is just an understatement. I mean lets just be honest, we went to the park the other day for about 30 minutes and when we left I checked my camera only to realize I had taken nearly 300 photos!

My children probably think that "seeing spots" is just a normal part of their vision. They probably hear "clickity clicks" in their dreams...

What can I say...I AM a "Mamma"razzi but the days tend to fly by and I just don't want to miss a thing!!

Sweet boy "sprinkles" happiness wherever he goes...

I just love that I have two car seats in my backseat. I often look in my rear view mirror (even while in the car alone) and I have to just give thanks to God knowing that He has filled those seats with the two most precious gifts that I will ever be given!
