The race...

They raced...
 He clearly won...
She claimed victory!

Beautiful day in the neighborhood...

and that it was!!!
The weather today was simply divine!
Sunny and warm with a cool breeze.
Completely delightful!!
We took full advantage of it and went to feed the ducks at the park.
We ended the night with the perfect sweet treat,
none other than the beloved "ah scream".
I will let the pictures speak for themselves...

and I will leave you with this blue eyed dream come true...

Say it isn't so...

Picture this...
A warm sunny day, with a slight breeze.
Collin is out with daddy.
I lay Madelyn down for her nap.
I open the window, turn on the fan and plant myself on the couch for just a few moments of much needed relaxation.

It isn't long before Madelyn is calling my name.
She calls me into her room no less than four times.
I tend to the varying needs she decides that she has at each bedtime.

Once again I am safe on the couch.
Eyes closed, fan humming.
I lay and think about how I am in NO hurry to get her into a girl bed for fear she will never sleep again.

Not even 30 seconds later I hear my name again.
But this time it sounds closer.
Her door knob is rattling.
You have to be kidding me!
Please say it isn't so...
Oh it's so alright...
Madelyn has learned how to crawl out of her crib.
Have mercy...

See my finger...

See my finger?
See my thumb?
See my fist, you better run!!

We all know that oldie right?

Well everyone but this crazy love...
Her version goes something like this...

See my fumb?
See my fish?
You better run!!!

And then she let's out a sweet giggle,
and we all let out a roaring laugh!

P.S.  Don't you love her fogged up Spiderman goggles?
They make her look extra intimidating...
or maybe they just make it hard to take her seriously?!  :)

Mother's Day 2011

My Mother's Day was lovely.  Daddy got up with the kids, they made me sweet cards, gave me flowers and told me how much they love me!!

I loved the few moments of extra time in bed,
the sweet, sweet cards,
the lovely flowers,
the adoring words...
but what I am MOST thankful for is that we have two healthy, beautiful reasons to celebrate!!

 And there lies my heart...

I love these two more than I could ever express in a blog post.
There are not enough words in a dictionary to explain love like this.
I will never, ever be able to thank God enough for allowing me the privilege of being their mother.  He knows my heart...
