A sleepover and a party

Tuesday night Collin had a sleepover at Grammy and Papa's house.  He was VERY excited about it and talked about it all day constantly asking "when am I going to the sleepover?".  He has talked about it ever since, now the constant question is "when am I going to have ANOTHER sleepover at Grammy's?".  I can't imagine why he wants to go back...

Movies...
 Donuts (and an omelette too)
 Cookie making...
and coloring all while in your jammies...
I think the real question is when am I going to Grammy's for a sleepover?!
They even got in a little outdoor fun too!
I am thrilled that he had such a fantabulous time!  I imagine there will be many more sleepovers in the future.  What a fun way to make special memories!

Later that night we went to Nana's for Ryan's family Christmas.
The kids enjoyed all of the attention from their cousins!
Cody and Madelyn
 Morgan and Madsy
 Sydnie and Mads
 Collin bug
 Daddy and his momma
 Nana with the birthday boy!

Brothers...
They hung out under the pool table so they could be closer to the kids (who were on the other side) while they opened their presents, so cute!

Boys will be boys no matter how old they are...

What a fun night!

CHRISTmas

We had a wonderful Christmas!!  Collin and Madelyn had eyes filled with childhood wonder and smiles as bright as our Christmas tree!  We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and talked about it Jesus and His birthday throughout the day.  Grammy, Papa and Nana all came over Christmas morning with gifts.  We took a rest and then went to Grammy and Papa's for Christmas dinner and round two of presents!
The gifts...
There were lots of gifts, and lots of smiles!

Mads got right to work with her doll house toys

Highlight of my day came from the mouth of my first born babe...
"Mommy I have had the BEST day!  I am glad Jesus was born.   I love Christmas and I love you too mommy..."

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

I love Christmas Eve!!  We started off the morning with Christmas Eve brunch at Grammy and Papa's house.  Uncle Michael and Aunt Andi were there too.  Collin and Madelyn got a Christmas surprise from sweet Jannie!  She is so very thoughtful, always making sure to send something for the kids, and she is the BEST at gifts!  Collin got a golf set and Madelyn got an Emma doll...which by the way Emma was one of the names I had chosen while pregnant with Madelyn.  She obviously didn't end up with the name but at least now she has her own Emma!  Emma took a nap with Madelyn today.  :)    Look how excited they were...

After nap time Madelyn was playing with her Emma doll and Collin wanted to hold the teddy bear that came with her.  Madelyn was not about to take turns with her new toy and next thing I hear is
"That's it, I am calling Aunt Jan RIGHT now and telling her you are not sharing your new baby doll..."
And just so you know, he did in fact make the pretend phone call!
Thank you Jannie, and Unca Dave too, we LOVE you!  Can't wait to see you in March!!

We went home for naps and then off to Gabby's for more celebrating!

More later...

Christmas with Dude and Andi

Last night Uncle Dude and Aunt Andi came to exchange gifts with us.  We will see them Christmas Eve but not on Christmas day so we decided to exchange a little early.  Collin was so excited!  Uncle Dude dressed him...he came out in his Halloween shirt, MERRY CHRISTMAS!  Haha!!

He got the remote control tractor that he has been asking for.
Very exciting for a little guy!

Madsy was excited to open her first gift this year too!

She got a princess tent!  She was so cute in it jumping inside, hiding and giggling and shouting "Knock, knock,Uncle Dude WOOK".

I made them a super warm couch blanket and we also gave them some very yummy candles from Bath and Body Works.  They gave us a generous gift card to one of our favorite restaurants and it came with "capable and loving babysitters".  Love it!
Can't wait for our date night!!
