In the toilet...

Seriously what is it with my kids and the toilet this week?!  Madelyn started us off by throwing my phone in for a swim and then today, I walk into the bathroom and find this...

Yep, that's the broom... the broom that I use SEVERAL times a day to clean up little people messes!  Now if Madelyn hadn't been in her highchair it would have been a gamble as to who the guilty child was, but being that Madelyn WAS in her highchair, I knew it must be this little darling...

I called Collin into the bathroom and asked him what happened, he blamed it on his sister.  I gave him a few chances and we talked about telling the truth...

  he stood firm to the "Madelyn did it" story.  Two strikes!  Now not only did we have the "broom in the toilet" issue, but I also had to discipline him for lying to me.  

It was a teachable moment...

I am the first to admit that this little one has a streak of stinker in him!  :)
But generally speaking he is a very well behaved sweetheart!  On our way to Target, to get a new broom, he said "Mommy I LOVE you...and I love Daddy and Madelyn and Nana and Papa and Grammy and Dr. Cadena (his pediatrician).  I assured him that all of those people loved him too!  :)
As we were driving along I couldn't help but think back to the time when Collin was about 22 months old.  I had just gotten home from grocery shopping and I asked him to help me by putting the toilet paper away.  This is where I found it...

I laughed until I cried!  

Yes it's true, he has a streak of stinker in him...

...but I wouldn't change a single thing about him!
