Girls Day Out

This morning sweet Mads and I had our very first girls day out with Kara and the lovely Makenzie!!  Kara and I have shared many girls days together laughing, sharing secrets and dishing all kinds of detailed girlie gossip.  In the most recent years we have talked about how much fun it would be to share girl days with our own littles, and today was THE day, the one we have talked about for what seems like forever!!  We had such fun!!  It's not that we did anything out of the ordinary, but being together with a mini version of Meg and Kara ~ Mads and Mak~ (who we know will be great friends) was every kind of fabulous!!

I didn't bring my camera (so mad) but we got a few shots via the phone, quality is not great in large scale but these are too cute not to document...

Thank you Kara and Makenzie for a great morning.  We don't have to do anything out of the ordinary in order to have an extraordinary time with you two beauties!!  We look forward to lifetime of girls days!!  We love you both to pieces!  Kara I am beyond excited to watch our girls grow into the kind of friends that we are.  You are, always have been, and always will be one of my all time fave people!!  

In other news...

This beauty learned how to pedal her trike today.  It has been a work in progress as getting used to a forward pedaling motion is tricky for the littles.  This bike used to be Collin's but by the time he learned to pedal he was too big for the tricycle!!  :)  

Sweet Mads was bound and determined to learn to ride in order to keep up with the other kids!!  It was hilariously sweet.  She would literally pedal forward twice and then back twice, forward twice, back twice always ending up right where she started.  Very funny to watch, although sometimes frustrating for her.  But like I said, she was determined and low and behold today was the day it all came together!!  Look how proud she is...

Today she's driving a tricycle and tomorrow a car...
