I'm sorry

Whew yesterday is long gone!!  Collin is no longer grounded and today he has a completely new attitude!!  Glad to have my sweet boy back, for today anyway!!  :)

Last night as we were saying prayers before bed he stopped in the middle of his prayer and said "wait I need to tell you something".  Admittedly, I was irritated after a long day and thinking he was just stalling as he is known to do.  He was determined to "tell me something" so I caved and I am so glad I did...

"Hey mommy today when I was....when I was...what's it called?"

Grounded?

"Yes grounded, today when I was grounded and I was cleaning my room (which looks fantab I must add) I prayed and told Jesus I was sorry for throwing mud."

(The mud flinging was actually his first of many strikes yesterday which led to the grounding.)

  

 Well bless his heart!!  That did this momma's heart good to know that he thought to ask forgiveness without be prompted by me.  

There will be more crazy days I am sure.  More sassing, more groundings, more discipline no doubt.  My heart's desire is that his heart (and his sister's for that matter) will always be tender to the promptings of the holy spirit.  That they will both always seek forgiveness when they have done wrong.  That they will learn from their mistakes and carry on as better people...
